Is Cre8 IOT a parking payment app like SSP, Flexi, or JomParking?+
No. Cre8 IOT provides Edge AI bay occupancy and kerbside visibility for PBT operations. Payment / e-coupon apps collect session fees; we measure whether a bay is occupied. Many majlis need both layers - they are complementary, not substitutes.
How does Cre8 IOT's smart parking system work?+
Edge AI cameras process video on-device to detect whether each parking bay is occupied or vacant. Only the occupancy status is transmitted, not raw video - the same architecture principle behind our Edge AI Camera line - which keeps bandwidth costs down versus cloud-only video analytics.
How is this different from cloud-only parking guidance systems?+
Cloud-only guidance typically streams or heavily depends on continuous video/uplink to a central brain. Our design runs occupancy inference at the edge so sites stay useful when links are constrained, and only structured occupancy events go upstream. Guidance signage and payment apps can still sit on top of that occupancy feed.
Does smart parking replace manual enforcement officers?+
No - it is built as an enforcement-assist tool. The system flags bays that appear to need attention; officers still decide and act under the PBT's own SOPs and by-laws.
What about ANPR and public concern over automated enforcement?+
Bay occupancy does not require publishing plate databases. Where number-plate workflows are specified by the authority, they must follow Malaysian law, PBT policy, and clear human review - we do not position Cre8 as fully automated ticketing or as a response to ANPR backlash. Scope stays occupancy + assist, unless a signed project defines more.
